Presentation rules refer to auditory cues by semantic name. A sound pack maps those names to concrete audio assets and can inherit missing cues from another pack. This separation lets you change the overall sound character without rewriting every presentation rule.
Open Sound Packs from Aural Home. In the manager:
Audition a representative cue without activating the pack.
Browse the pack’s individual cues and their source or fallback.
Audition the selected concrete cue.
Validate the pack and report missing or invalid resources.
Activate the selected pack.
Use a sound pack when you want to change a family of cues together. Use Remap Earcon At Point or Presentation Overrides when one semantic event needs a different cue, suppression, or restoration.
Spatial requests are portable descriptions rather than assumptions about one device. Aural Home separates Spatial Capabilities, which reports what the current route can provide and how it falls back, from Spatial Settings, which controls output, separation, direction, speech, and cues. Unsupported or mono output remains audible at the center rather than silently losing content.
Named tones are another compact presentation resource. They do not require a sampled sound file and may be used independently of the active sound pack.
